Senior/Staff Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture and design for core Conductor services
• Tackle complex distributed systems challenges
• Collaborate with product, design, and cross-functional engineering teams
• Mentor engineers at all levels and foster technical excellence
• Champion open-source contributions to Conductor
• Evaluate and introduce emerging technologies and frameworks
• Establish best practices in coding standards, testing, and observability
• Partner with leadership to align engineering with business strategy

Requirements

• Experience building backend systems with Java and Spring Boot
• Proven track record architecting large-scale, distributed systems
• Mastery of REST, gRPC, and asynchronous messaging systems like Kafka or RabbitMQ
• Demonstrated ability to lead large, cross-team technical initiatives
• Strong technical mentorship and leadership skills
• Excellent communication and influence skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes
• Familiarity with API design, REST, and GraphQL
• Experience with event-driven architectures
