Senior/Staff Software Engineer, iOS

Responsibilities

• Design and build Suno’s iOS app across creation, discovery, playback, and social experiences
• Create foundational abstractions and libraries for performant, highly interactive audio and animation
• Collaborate closely with product and design to shape the feel, flow, and direction of the app
• Optimize for performance, responsiveness, and delight
• Instrument and monitor the app’s health and iterate based on real user data
• Set technical direction for the iOS platform and define architectural patterns
• Mentor engineers and raise the bar for code quality and engineering culture

Requirements

• 5+ years (Senior) or 7+ years (Staff) shipping production iOS apps
• Advanced expertise in Swift
• Proficiency in SwiftUI and UIKit
• Deep experience building fluid, polished animations
• Strong sense for performance profiling and benchmarking
• Obsession with great user experience and detail
• Ability to work with ambiguity and make technical tradeoffs
• Strong collaborative and communication skills
• Eligibility to work in the US

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with audio playback systems, streaming pipelines, or real-time audio
• Experience with social product features like feeds and follow graphs
• Background designing or consuming mobile-first APIs
• Track record building 0→1 consumer products at a fast-moving startup
• Technical leadership or mentorship experience
