Senior/Staff Software Engineer Backend, Billing

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, design, and implementation of the Airwallex engineering system.
• Partner with business and product teams to perform system analysis, architecture design, and core function development.
• Design and develop components based on the company’s microservice framework.
• Introduce innovative technologies and solutions to the engineering team.
• Manage technical team construction and establish high-quality internal coding standards.

Requirements

• 6+ years of Core Java development experience.
• 5+ years of experience in Internet application, large financial system, or e-commerce platform development.
• 1+ year of experience in payment platform development.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related major.
• Proficiency in Java 8, including multi-threading, high concurrency, IO/NIO, and network communication.
• Experience designing and developing large-scale distributed, high-concurrency, and high-availability systems.
• Mastery of common server technologies to optimize service response and data queries.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with international clearing and settlement or foreign exchange transactions.
• Proficiency in Kotlin, Scala, Python, Golang, or R.
• Experience with Cassandra, Redis, NoSQL, or Hadoop.
• Familiarity with Docker Swarm, Kubernetes, Aliyun Cloud, or AWS.
• Knowledge of JavaScript, Angular, React, or CSS3.
• Fluency in English.
