Senior/Staff Robotics Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead R&D efforts to prototype a new robotic manipulator and conduct rigorous testing
• Work with industry-standard hardware platforms including ROS-compatible robots and sensor suites
• Develop and implement models for hybrid dynamical systems in robotic manipulators
• Design advanced planning algorithms for manipulation tasks like pick-and-place
• Apply supervised, unsupervised, and reinforcement learning to improve manipulation performance
• Design and develop middleware and software solutions for robotic manipulation
• Optimize software architecture for communication between sensors, processors, and actuators
• Develop perception algorithms for object pose estimation, matching, and instance segmentation
• Utilize deep learning for end-to-end and self-supervised grasping
• Integrate hardware components including tactile, force, and vision sensors

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in robotics research or development
• Proven experience in modeling, planning, and controlling hybrid dynamical systems
• Hands-on experience with machine learning applied to robotic manipulation
• Experience with robotic perception technologies and deep learning frameworks
• Strong programming skills in C++ and Python
• Familiarity with ROS (Robot Operating System)
• Experience with simulation tools such as Nvidia Isaac SIM, Gazebo, V-REP, or CUDA
• Proficiency with machine learning libraries like TensorFlow or PyTorch
• Fluency in English
