About the role
About the Company
Neptune Medical is an innovative, venture capital funded medical device startup headquartered in Burlingame, CA. The team is building Triton Robotic Endoscopy, a fully flexible medical robot designed to disrupt flexible endoscopy and set new standards in medical outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement the compute platform for the vision pipeline for the Triton robot
- Evaluate and prototype solutions for control and vision subsystems using different computers and GPUs
- Design, develop, document, and verify software for video pipelines using NVIDIA Jetson embedded systems
- Integrate new processing capabilities and AI applications into product code in collaboration with deep-learning engineers
- Participate in software design and code reviews with peer engineers
- Document software designs, reviews, and processes
Requirements
- B.S. or M.S. in CS, ECE, EE or related fields
- 5-7 years of experience designing and developing software for embedded Linux systems
- Robust knowledge of C++ and Python
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Linux kernel development
- Experience with NVIDIA’s embedded software stack
