About the role

Responsibilities

  • Develop and test firmware features for Ceribell’s life-saving EEG systems
  • Design and implement real-time, low-latency data acquisition pipelines for sensor-based systems
  • Develop reliable control logic for device operation and system behavior
  • Contribute to GUI development using frameworks such as TouchGFX, LVGL, or custom OpenGL-based stacks
  • Participate in code reviews, peer reviews, and risk management activities
  • Provide input on firmware and hardware architecture for new and existing products
  • Create and revise technical documentation

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field
  • 3-10+ years of experience in firmware development for commercial products
  • Proficiency in C/C++ and experience with ARM-based systems
  • Experience with the STM32 ecosystem (STM32 Cube IDE, STM32 Cube MX, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Graduate degree in a relevant engineering field
  • Experience designing and implementing sensor-based systems
  • Experience with state-based architecture
  • Direct experience with WiFi-connected or IoT device development
  • Hands-on experience developing GUIs for embedded devices (TouchGFX, Qt, LVGL)
  • Ability to read hardware schematics and familiarity with PCB design or signal routing
