About the role
Responsibilities
- Define and own the long-term cloud architecture vision, guiding the evolution of AWS-native infrastructure from concept to production.
- Mentor and influence engineering teams, promoting cloud-native best practices and fostering operational excellence.
- Drive the design and implementation of highly automated, resilient, and secure Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) frameworks.
- Oversee the full platform architecture, including data ingestion, processing, control systems, and user-facing applications.
- Champion security and compliance practices, ensuring alignment with critical infrastructure and regulatory requirements.
- Establish organization-wide monitoring, observability, and incident management practices using tools like Grafana and Prometheus.
- Partner with product managers, data engineers, and ML engineers to align technical solutions with business priorities.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in cloud or software engineering, with at least 3+ years of deep expertise in AWS.
- Proven track record of defining and evolving cloud architecture at scale.
- Proficiency in programming or scripting languages such as Python, Go, or Bash.
- Deep knowledge of AWS services including API Gateway, DynamoDB, Lambda, IAM, ECS, and EKS.
- Hands-on expertise in Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform, Pulumi, or AWS CDK.
- Experience with containerization, microservices architectures, and CI/CD strategies.
- Strong experience in security, compliance, and implementing monitoring/alerting solutions (e.g., Grafana, Prometheus).
- Exceptional analytical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to mentor other engineers.
