Senior/Staff Backend Engineer

We are on a mission to change the way banks operate by automating disputes and fighting friendly fraud.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain reliable backend systems, integrating them with credit card, banking, and merchant platforms
• Scale and generalize the system for growth, ensuring high configurability and flexibility
• Architect and develop robust architectural patterns for microservices
• Design and implement core frameworks and libraries for various backend services
• Take ownership of upgrading coding practices, CI/CD pipelines, and third-party dependencies
• Proactively identify and implement infrastructure optimizations to enhance operational efficiency
• Own end-to-end development and deployment of key features, including technology stack decisions

Requirements

• Minimum of 6+ years of experience in software development
• At least 2 years of experience using Go or Java in production environments
• Demonstrated experience working on platform teams and contributing to system architecture
• Proven track record of leading end-to-end implementations of key product features or re-architectures
• Strong understanding of algorithms, data structures, and industry design patterns
• Experience mentoring junior team members and leading project teams as a tech lead
