Senior/Principal Tactical Planner - Facilities Electrical Systems

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed scopes of work for electrical projects focused on medium and high voltage systems, including substations
• Troubleshoot electrical systems and use tools like Dranetz for power quality and diagnostics
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance plans and coordinate power outage schedules
• Design maintenance and minor construction activities under the direction of an engineer
• Perform electrical design reviews and provide input to asset management programs
• Manage procedures to ensure safe work practices and proper maintenance of equipment

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline plus 5 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience working on medium and/or high voltage transmission/distribution systems
• Ability to obtain and maintain an active DOE L-level security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and the ability to obtain a PE license
• Experience with electrical codes and standards (NEC, NFPA 70E, and NESC)
• Familiarity with protective relays and Arc Flash Hazard calculations
• Experience with computerized facilities management systems such as Maximo or TRIRIGA
• Knowledge of high voltage systems (>115kV) and federal government requirements (NNSA, DOE)
