About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead multidisciplinary teams in the qualification, maintenance, and sustainment of Mk21 Fuze systems.
- Support stockpile assessment through flight testing, laboratory testing, and component testing.
- Collaborate with Science & Technology experts to plan and analyze data from advanced experiments and modeling.
- Define requirements and develop hardware and software for ground and flight test integration.
- Conduct system test planning and execution for environmental, functional, and safety evaluations.
- Develop and present technical materials for design reviews and customer meetings.
- Perform trade studies and make key decisions based on performance, cost, and schedule constraints.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline (Electrical Engineering background preferred) and five years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Active U.S. DOE Q-level security clearance or equivalent Department of Defense (DOD) clearance.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- Ability to work onsite 100% of the time in Livermore, CA.
- Ability to travel occasionally (approximately 3-5 trips per year).
Preferred Qualifications
- Graduate degree in Engineering or a highly related field.
- Experience working with the Nuclear Security Enterprise (NSE), including labs such as LANL, LLNL, or KCNSC.
- Experience in engineering design, qualification, production, or modeling/simulation projects.
- Strong knowledge of systems engineering concepts and principles.
- Proven ability to collaborate with internal organizations and external production facilities or suppliers.
