Senior/Principal Lead Delivery Engineer

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end customer outcomes for defense and government accounts, including prime contractors and DoD agencies
• Author SOWs and RFP/RFI responses navigating government contracting, IP, and export control
• Lead matrixed value delivery teams consisting of Applications Engineers, AI/ML Scientists, and Data Engineers
• Act as a dual-hat project and product manager to drive execution and shape product intuition
• Maintain hands-on technical involvement in debugging models, restructuring data pipelines, and prototyping workflows
• Partner with GTM teams on program engagement and account growth
• Navigate compliance requirements including ITAR/EAR, CMMC, DFARS, and FedRAMP

Requirements

• 5–10 years of experience in defense, government R&D, or defense-adjacent enterprise software
• Fluency in multi-physics disciplines such as structural mechanics, aeroelasticity, or electromagnetics
• U.S. Person status required; active or obtainable Secret/TS-SCI clearance preferred
• Proficiency in Python, scripting, simulation tools, and AI/ML workflows
• Working knowledge of AI/ML applied to engineering (surrogate modeling, physics-informed ML)
• Ability to lead cross-functional technical teams without direct authority
• Willingness to travel 10–25% to customer sites

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering
• Prior experience at major defense prime contractors or national labs
• Active security clearance
• Experience with digital twin programs for airframe or propulsion applications
• Track record of deploying ML or simulation tooling under compliance constraints
