Senior/Principal Hardware Technologist

Responsibilities

• Perform hardware support and integration activities for system development and qualification
• Inventory high-value assets and hardware using in-house tracking databases
• Verify released engineering data and collaborate with systems, component, quality, and manufacturing teams
• Research and resolve inconsistencies regarding design, production, and materials
• Kit hardware according to engineering documentation for assembly and electrical testing
• Pack and coordinate the shipping of hardware and test articles
• Conduct monthly audits to maintain accuracy and accountability

Requirements

• High school diploma plus 3+ years of directly relevant experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience)
• Active DOE Q-level security clearance
• Ability to work onsite 100% of the time in Livermore, CA
• Ability to travel up to 25% to support the mission

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate degree in Manufacturing, Production Planning, or an engineering field
• Experience with nuclear weapon design, development, qualification, or production
• Experience working with classified and hazardous materials or hardware
• Experience working in laboratory and field environments
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
