Senior/Principal Consultant

Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to the delivery of high-impact EU policy projects, including regulatory impact assessments and sectoral innovation studies
• Drive business acquisition by generating new leads and leading bid writing for EU tenders and proposals
• Design methodological approaches to address complex policy questions and anticipate emerging environmental trends
• Manage client, partner, and expert relationships while ensuring project milestones are met under tight deadlines
• Contribute to the implementation of the company's Green Transition strategy and assist in team expansion and management
• Draft high-quality reports, policy papers, and analytical documents for donors and policy-makers

Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in consultancy, research, or policy-making related to climate change, energy transition, or circular economy
• Master’s degree in environmental science, economics, political science, or a closely related field
• Deep expertise in EU environmental and climate policies (e.g., EU Green Deal, Fit for 55, REPowerEU)
• Proficiency in both quantitative and qualitative research methods, including statistical analysis and impact assessment
• Proven track record in proposal development and securing contracts/funding
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• EU citizenship or a valid work permit

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing projects or teams within the European Commission or other EU institutions
• Knowledge of the EU Better Regulation Toolbox
• Fluency in additional European languages
