Senior/Associate Cost Manager (Estimating) - Data Centres

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation of conceptual estimates, feasibility studies, and detailed estimates for data centre projects
• Develop and maintain detailed estimating models covering building, infrastructure, CSA, MEP, and power systems
• Produce cost benchmarks and cost intelligence using market data
• Analyse design information to assess cost impacts of capacity, redundancy, and technical specifications
• Evaluate cost risks and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle
• Support investment decisions through commercial advice and scenario modelling
• Provide cost inputs for business cases and capital expenditure approvals
• Monitor market trends affecting labour, materials, and supply chains in the data centre sector

Requirements

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
• Significant experience in estimating, cost planning, or quantity surveying
• Strong understanding of construction cost drivers and estimating methodologies
• Experience with data centres, mission-critical, advanced manufacturing, or life sciences projects
• Excellent analytical and financial modelling skills
• Strong stakeholder management and communication abilities
• MRICS or working towards professional accreditation
