Senior Work Control Planner

Responsibilities

• Provide deployed support to Facility Operations Directorates for maintenance planning, scheduling, and CMMS support
• Develop and review work packages including time, material, and labor estimates
• Create written step-by-step work instructions, procedures, and safety requirements
• Plan duties related to mechanical, electrical, chemical, and radiological equipment
• Develop, monitor, and validate accuracy of performance data and reports
• Maintain databases for performance measurements and data administration
• Evaluate processes and procedures for potential improvements and provide training

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree and 12+ years of relevant experience (or equivalent combination)
• U.S. Citizenship required
• Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance
• Extensive experience interpreting mechanical and electrical blueprints, drawings, and schematics
• Knowledge of legal requirements and environmental impacts affecting work control
• Understanding of work hazards, safety practices, and lock-out/tag-out policies
• Experience with work control, materials management, and mechanical maintenance
• Proficiency in utilizing computerized work management systems
• Ability to climb fixed ladders

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in nuclear facility maintenance or construction planning
• Active Q clearance
• Knowledge of Los Alamos National Laboratory facility policies and procedures
