Senior Word Processor

Responsibilities

• Perform light typing, faxing, copying, and filing tasks
• Operate computer terminals and personal computers to manage digital workflows
• Maintain both manual and electronic records
• Assist in preparing case files for shipment to the Federal Records Center (FRC)
• Manage the closing and packaging of files for shipment
• Work effectively in a high-volume workload setting to meet specified timeframes

Requirements

• US Citizenship (required for facility credentials/authorization)
• At least two years of word processing experience, including one year in a specific office automation environment (e.g., Microsoft Office)
• High school diploma or GED
• Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality work under pressure
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to lift up to 15 lbs and frequently move, sort, and file physical documents

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience assisting with file room management
• Previous experience working in a legal office environment
• Basic understanding of court dockets
