Senior Wiring Harness Quality Technician

Responsibilities

• Build, install, and repair complex LV and HV harnesses according to technical drawings
• Perform visual and mechanical inspections on in-house builds
• Conduct crimp height analysis, pull-tests, and terminal seating audits
• Use calipers and tape measures to verify harness lengths and breakout points
• Maintain audit logs and redline engineering drawings
• Solder components onto PCBAs using microscopes
• Perform root-cause analysis on defects and suggest process optimizations
• Maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment using 5S

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building complex wire harnesses
• Mastery of crimping, terminating, splicing, and shielding techniques
• Proven experience soldering components onto PCBAs under a microscope
• Advanced ability to interpret wiring diagrams and electrical schematics
• High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

• IPC/WHMA-A-620 certification
• Familiarity with J-STD-001 standards
• Knowledge of high-voltage safety protocols and EV orange-cable handling
• Experience with 5S, Six Sigma, or Lean methodologies
