Senior Wireless Software Engineer (PHY Layer)

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and integrate scalable PHY/Calibration software modules for next-generation fixed wireless broadband systems.
• Focus on Layer 1 functionality of proprietary 5G protocols, including channel estimation, IQ imbalance correction, and LO leakage cancellation.
• Develop software for multi-core DSP/ARM processors and real-time operating systems (RTOS) running on both base stations and user equipment.
• Define and develop unit test vectors using Matlab and C++ to ensure flawless module delivery.
• Test and validate software module performance on real systems and develop scripts for RF board testing.
• Collaborate with L2/L3 software groups and FPGA/ASIC teams to deliver cross-layer features.

Requirements

• MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science with an emphasis in wireless communication or digital signal processing.
• 5-12 years of industry experience in DSP software development for wireless communication systems (e.g., 5G, LTE, WiFi).
• Strong programming proficiency in C, C++, and Python.
• Deep understanding of communication and signal processing theory, including OFDM and linear algebra.
• Experience with multi-core embedded systems, RTOS, memory/cycle optimization, and multi-threaded programming.
• Hands-on experience with array signal processing (beam-forming, MIMO), adaptive equalization, or receiver synchronization.
• Proficiency with version control (Git) and collaboration tools (Jira, Confluence).
