Senior Wireless Firmware Engineer

Responsibilities

• Own the technical vision, roadmap, and architecture for Wi-Fi and connectivity firmware across product lines
• Lead design decisions for wireless stack components including 802.11 MAC, drivers, supplicant, roaming logic, and radio control systems
• Architect and implement embedded firmware using C/C++, RTOS frameworks, and chipset SDKs
• Lead and mentor a team of firmware engineers, providing technical coaching and code reviews
• Drive strategy for resiliency, proactive recovery, and predictive connectivity algorithms
• Lead investigations into complex wireless issues such as association failures, intermittent disconnects, and congestion
• Partner with hardware, QA, and chipset vendors to drive firmware enhancements and ensure stable field performance

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
• 10-15 years of work experience in firmware development
• Deep expertise in Wi-Fi systems and 802.11 MAC
• Proficiency in C/C++ and RTOS frameworks
• Hands-on experience with chipset SDKs (e.g., Qualcomm, Broadcom, Realtek, or MediaTek)
• Strong debugging skills using diagnostics, logs, packet captures, and RF tools
