Senior Wireless Communication Systems Engineer

Responsibilities

• Perform system design and requirement specification
• Handle algorithmic development, simulation, implementation, and testing
• Conduct system performance simulation, benchmarking, and testing
• Support fixed point modeling and FPGA design/verification
• Assist FPGA and Software development teams with hardware/software implementation and troubleshooting
• Lead multi-disciplinary engineering teams for product and feature development
• Manage development schedules and tasks
• Design and participate in lab and field testing and troubleshooting
• Prepare technical documentation and support R&D business development efforts

Requirements

• MS or Ph.D. in wireless communications or signal processing
• Minimum 4 years of experience in wireless systems design and development
• Experience across the complete wireless technology development cycle
• Extensive knowledge of RF propagation, channel modeling, and digital communication systems
• Expertise in signal processing algorithms, MIMO, and OFDM
• Expertise in modeling and mitigating RF impairments (AGC, phase noise, etc.)
• Experience with fixed point modeling and verification
• Expert proficiency in MATLAB programming and simulation
• Must be a U.S. Citizen

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of wireless mobile ad-hoc networking, medium access, and routing algorithms
• Experience with cognitive radio, spectrum management, and interference mitigation
• Experience with RF sensing, signal detection, and classification
• Strong technical writing and presentation skills
