Senior Wet Utilities Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead mid-level and junior engineers in the production of high-quality wet utilities designs and complex analytical models
• Provide technical guidance and supervision for design plan and profile production
• Review plans and profiles for technical compliance with design objectives and construction clarity
• Develop workflows and templates to enable efficient design repetition
• Apply advanced engineering principles to complex analytical models
• Manage baseline design schedules and track task progress against original timelines
• Act as the primary interface with clients regarding specific engineering discipline assignments
• Mentor staff on technical aspects and conduct on-site training when necessary

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s Degree preferred)
• 8+ years of related drainage design experience
• Proficiency in InfoWorks ICM and equivalent complex engineering software
• Professional Engineer registration preferred (PE, Peng, or CEng)
• Strong knowledge of industry practices, codes, and regulations
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with clients and management
• Deep understanding of QA/QC standard practices and procedures

• Potential to perform in a leadership capacity
• Experience providing input for design estimates and technical/commercial proposals
• Ability to identify and propose mitigation for risks within a project scope
• Experience developing workflow processes and specifying staff requirements
