About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategic planning, development, and execution of civil installation activities for signalling scope, specifically for ETCS L2 deployment.
  • Manage civil construction delivery, including bungalow foundations, cable containment systems, and infrastructure foundations.
  • Act as the signalling civil authority across multiple corridors to resolve complex interface issues.
  • Oversee the RFQ and procurement process, providing technical and cost evaluations for subcontractor quotations.
  • Manage civil subcontractors from mobilization to completion, ensuring compliance with contractual, technical, and HSE standards.
  • Coordinate with authorities for permits and environmental management, including Metrolinx and municipal approvals.
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety, quality, and compliance policies, including the Alstom Zero Deviation Plan.
  • Collaborate with Bid, Finance, and Engineering teams to optimize pricing strategies and identify process improvements.

Requirements

  • Engineering degree in civil engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 15 years of railway experience specifically in civil and signalling installation.
  • Strong expertise in civil and signalling installation methodologies.
  • Proven experience in target pricing, cost control, and planning control within civil site management.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Excellent negotiation, interpersonal, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Railway Safety and Site EHS certifications.
  • Knowledge of railway products and services across Urban, Mainline, and F&M market segments.
