Senior Water Specialist

Responsibilities

• Provide technical solutions and implementation support for flagship and problem projects, including the DREVE Program.
• Lead adaptive implementation functions such as project restructurings, budget planning, and the preparation of Terms of Reference (TORs).
• Offer technical advice on water and sanitation, water resources management, and irrigation activities.
• Lead client dialogue and coordinate multidisciplinary Bank teams across the Planet vertical.
• Support the coordination of Bank-funded and donor-funded technical assistance activities.
• Contribute to corporate priorities and key Global Solutions Group initiatives within the Water Global Practice.

Requirements

• MA in economics or MS in civil/environmental engineering (specializing in water resources management, water supply/hydraulics, or irrigation) or equivalent experience.
• At least 8 years of experience in water resources management, irrigation, and water supply/sanitation.
• At least 8 years of project management experience in the water sector, including managing complex multi-sector operations.
• Deep expertise in World Bank operations and processes.
• Demonstrated capacity working in the West Africa region.
• Fluency in both English and French (speaking, reading, and writing).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in Fragility, Conflict, and Violence (FCV) environments.
