About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of alternative water source, advanced water purification, and related water/wastewater projects as a Project Technical Lead.
- Conduct pilot studies, perform engineering calculations, and prepare technical drawings, reports, and project specifications.
- Manage and mentor engineering teams, delegating tasks and overseeing project scope, budget, staffing, and schedules.
- Participate in client development through technical training, workshops, and face-to-face interactions regarding treatment technology and regulatory frameworks.
- Coordinate with regulatory agencies to manage the permitting process and seek final project approvals.
- Perform quality assurance and quality control on technical products and facilitate independent reviews.
- Contribute to strategic planning for the water reuse practice and assist in developing design standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering (Master’s degree preferred).
- Licensed California Professional Engineer (PE).
- Minimum of 15 years of relevant engineering experience.
- Strong knowledge of aquatic chemistry and water quality issues relevant to municipal and industrial reuse.
- Proficiency in MS Office, Bluebeam, and Adobe.
- Proven ability to lead complex teams and communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
