Senior Water Resources Design Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead technical design for water resources projects, including stormwater, dredging, and wetland restoration.
• Conduct hydrologic, groundwater, and water quality modeling and develop water budgets.
• Prepare erosion and sediment control plans, design plans, construction bid documents, and permitting documents using CAD.
• Perform both field and office elements of projects, including construction phase services and oversight.
• Manage project tasks within a team environment, including cost control, scheduling, and risk management.
• Mentor and motivate junior staff members.
• Maintain a strong commitment to company safety standards and "Beyond Zero" programs.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Environmental, Civil, or Agricultural preferred).
• 5-7 years of relevant design experience.
• Engineer in Training (EI) certification required; Professional Engineer (PE) license or active progress toward obtaining it is required.
• Proficiency with hydrologic and hydraulic models, specifically ICPR and HEC.
• Strong AutoCAD design skills.
• Deep knowledge of Florida hydrology, water quality issues, and local permitting requirements.
• Proven ability to manage client relationships and prepare technical reports and proposals.
• Ability to travel locally and within Florida as necessary.
