Senior Virtual Software Modeling Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop high-performance C++ functional models of AMD SoCs and platforms to simulate software-visible behavior.
• Work closely with architecture teams to understand and model new next-generation designs.
• Improve the functionality, stability, and performance of existing models.
• Develop tests to verify model functionality and support emulation acceleration, performance, and power modeling.
• Collaborate with internal and external customers to debug workloads running on models.
• Develop innovative new debug features and enhance simulation infrastructure.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent field.
• Strong proficiency in C/C++ development.
• Understanding of hardware system architecture and subsystem interface protocols.
• Experience with x86, ARM, or GPU architecture.
• Experience with Linux or Windows kernel debugging.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with functional modeling, architecture simulation, or hypervisor development.
• Hands-on experience with QEMU, VirtualBox, or SIMICS.
• Background in high-performance system and application software development for Windows and/or Linux environments.
