Senior Vice President, Marketing and Communications

Responsibilities

• Serve as a key member of the senior leadership team, helping shape organizational strategy and decision-making
• Lead, develop, and inspire a distributed team of nearly 40 professionals across communications, marketing, and fundraising functions
• Lead enterprise-wide communications strategy, including crisis communications related to campus antisemitism and geopolitical developments
• Provide strategic counsel to executive leadership on organizational messaging and emerging challenges
• Strengthen Hillel's brand positioning, visibility, and relevance across a complex landscape
• Ensure marketing, communications, and fundraising messaging are aligned to support audience engagement and long-term growth

Requirements

• 15+ years leading communications, marketing, public affairs, or related functions
• Experience overseeing senior leaders and large distributed teams
• Significant experience in strategic communications and crisis management
• Proven track record serving as a trusted advisor to CEOs and boards
• Sophisticated understanding of the Jewish communal and higher education landscapes
• Bachelor’s degree required
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally several times per year
