Senior Vice President - Legal Counsel

Responsibilities

• Lead legal structuring and execution of joint ventures, partnerships, and strategic investments across the real estate portfolio.
• Drive negotiation of high-value, non-standard, and complex strategic legal agreements.
• Provide authoritative, commercially oriented legal advice on business-critical matters within the Development business.
• Lead identification and mitigation of legal risks in strategic matters to ensure robust contractual protections.
• Engage with senior leadership and key stakeholders across Commercial, Finance, Treasury, Tax, and Strategy departments.
• Manage external law firms, providing clear instructions and overseeing associated spend.
• Mentor legal team members on structuring, negotiation, and deal execution to build internal expertise.

Requirements

• 12-15 years of related legal experience, ideally within an international law firm or large in-house environment.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in a managerial position.
• Extensive experience in transactional real estate matters and development management.
• Expert-level knowledge of UAE legal systems and regulatory frameworks, including onshore and ADGM jurisdictions.
• Law Degree, Bachelor's, or Post Graduate Diploma in Law.
• Common Law Qualified.
• Exceptional drafting and negotiation skills with a track record of leading high-value, multi-party negotiations.
