Senior Verification Test Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, write, and execute test protocols for hardware, software, and system-level design verification testing
• Develop and qualify test methods, test equipment, and protocols against system and sub-system requirements
• Collate and analyze test results, identify anomalies, and work with quality teams to investigate root causes
• Author verification test reports for design history files and regulatory submissions (FDA/CE marking)
• Maintain requirements traceability matrices to ensure complete test coverage
• Support system integration testing across hardware, firmware, and software components
• Contribute to risk management activities under ISO 14971
• Develop and maintain test infrastructure, fixtures, and calibration tooling

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in verification or test engineering
• Hands-on experience writing and executing test protocols for complex hardware or software systems
• Experience in a regulated industry (medical devices, aerospace, or automotive)
• Experience developing software-based test tools and scripts in Python
• Strong analytical skills for root cause analysis and non-conformance documentation
• Clear and precise technical writing skills for regulatory documentation
• Familiarity with requirements management and test management platforms

Preferred Qualifications

• Working knowledge of ISO 14971 and ISO 13485
• Experience with hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) or software-in-the-loop (SIL) testing
• Experience in optical, photonic, or biomedical hardware test and characterization
• Familiarity with IEC 62304 software V&V requirements
• Exposure to automated test frameworks for embedded or mixed-signal contexts
