Senior Ventilation and Building Services Engineer

Responsibilities

• Deliver ventilation and building services work scope, including the production and checking of design deliverables.
• Guide designers in the production of detailed drawings, sub-assemblies, general arrangements, layout drawings, flow diagrams, and parts lists.
• Produce calculations to verify detail design and provide design substantiation.
• Compile technical documentation including technical specifications, risk assessments, installation methodology documents, and O&M manuals.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary design teams and plant-based teams to support work packs impacting Alpha Plant ventilation conditions.
• Carry out ventilation assessments to support containment system improvements.

Requirements

• Experience working within a highly regulated industry.
• Proficiency in 2D and 3D Autodesk CAD products.
• Strong technical report writing and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages.
• Ability to manage own workload and drive completion of work scope independently.
• Experience in the production and development of ventilation plant layouts.
• Experience in the production of technical files and supporting documentation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience within the nuclear industry.
• Recent experience in Nuclear Vent Plant design or the decommissioning of redundant plant.
• Experience with "Design for Assembly" within a nuclear facility.
• Experience using Pipenet.
