About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead the evaluation, curation, and expansion of the product assortment for the European region to drive category and revenue growth.
  • Identify high-potential brands and develop strategic vendor partnerships.
  • Negotiate competitive commercial terms, including pricing, marketing budgets, rebates, and volume agreements.
  • Own key category KPIs such as gross margin, product mix, and promotions.
  • Navigate Europe-specific compliance, regulatory, and supply-chain requirements.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams including Inventory Management, Planning, Compliance, and Marketing.
  • Manage vendor contracts, product onboarding, and issue resolution.
  • Support and develop Assistant Buyers through guidance and mentorship.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in category management, merchandising, or a related commercial role.
  • Proven experience in an international or regional e-commerce environment (Pan-European experience preferred).
  • Strong negotiation skills with a track record of securing favorable commercial terms.
  • Advanced analytical and data-interpretation abilities to drive decision-making.
  • Deep understanding of retail pricing structures and margin dynamics.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace.
  • Strong project management capabilities and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with EDI, WMS, SAP, Asana, or Tableau.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Merchandising, or a related field.
