Senior Validation Engineer

About the Company

Humanoid is on a mission to build the world’s most capable, commercially-scalable, and safe humanoid robots. Their HMND-01 Alpha platform is already running in real industrial pilots.

Responsibilities

• Lead the arrangement and development of in-house test rigs and jigs for subsystems and full robots
• Design and build custom mechanical jigs and fixtures to stress-test components like actuators and end-effectors
• Commission rigs from CAD models to working setups, including wiring, instrumentation, and data capture
• Work with systems owners to define validation requirements and coverage
• Manage procurement, parts sourcing, and vendor relationships for validation infrastructure
• Design mechanical components in CAD and electrical systems including schematics and wiring harnesses
• Support long-term endurance and life-cycle testing (HALT/HASS, MTBF)

Requirements

• 5+ years in hardware validation, test engineering, or test equipment development
• Proven experience designing and building test rigs and fixtures from concept to commissioning
• Strong CAD skills (SolidWorks, Fusion, or NX)
• Knowledge of mechanical components like linear stages, bearings, and motors
• Ability to design electrical schematics, wiring harnesses, and power distribution
• Experience sourcing parts and managing external suppliers

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency with DAQ systems (LabVIEW, National Instruments, Dewesoft)
• Experience with sensors such as accelerometers, thermocouples, and load cells
• Familiarity with certification processes (UL, CE, FCC)
• Prior experience validating robotic systems
• Python skills for automating data collection
