Senior UX/UI Engineer

Hawk is the leading provider of AI-supported anti-money laundering and fraud detection technology. Banks and payment providers globally use Hawk’s combination of traditional rules and explainable AI to improve AML compliance and fraud prevention effectiveness.

Responsibilities

• Drive UX strategy, design, and end-to-end frontend implementation for new product capabilities, including agentic AI workflow automation.
• Build intuitive human/machine interfaces to surface complex agentic AI results and explainability metrics.
• Lead development of complex UI topics such as 360-degree customer-centric views and dynamic entity grouping workflows.
• Architect and build scalable frontend components using React, leveraging shadcn/ui and Material UI.
• Partner with Product Management, Backend Engineering, and Data Science to shape the product roadmap.
• Champion the use of agentic coding tools to accelerate development and improve code quality.
• Establish frontend coding and design best practices to ensure a consistent user experience.

Requirements

• 4+ years of software development and UI/UX design experience (exceptional candidates with 2-3 years considered).
• Proven experience at the intersection of UI engineering, UX design, and product strategy.
• Deep expertise in frontend development using React.
• Experience architecting and bridging design systems like shadcn/ui and Material UI.
• Demonstrated ability to design interfaces for data-heavy, B2B, or enterprise applications.
• Hands-on experience utilizing modern AI coding assistants like Claude Code or Cursor.
• Strong holistic thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
