Senior Utilities Network Engineer

Responsibilities

• Review and verify external utilities network design deliverables, including potable water, irrigation, electrical power (HV/LV), and telecommunications.
• Ensure all designs comply with ADDC, ADDED, DM, and other Abu Dhabi authority standards and project requirements.
• Assess hydraulic modelling, pipe sizing, pressure analysis, and substation layouts.
• Verify utility corridor coordination and integration across the site masterplan to prevent clashes.
• Identify design deficiencies and prepare formal technical review comments for consultants.
• Provide technical oversight to the MEP Network Engineer to ensure full integration of utility and MEP streams.
• Support construction through the review of shop drawings, contractor submittals, and method statements.
• Conduct site visits to verify installations and support testing, commissioning, and handover processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in external utilities network engineering.
• Strong UAE project experience, specifically with large-scale residential or master development projects.
• Deep knowledge of ADDC standards for HV/LV power and potable water networks.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D for design review and mark-ups.
• Valid UAE driving licence.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's Degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Chartered Engineer status (CEng) with IET, IMechE, CIBSE, or equivalent.
• Prior experience working on Yas Island projects or with Miral authority requirements.
• Familiarity with BIM/3D coordination and utility clash detection workflows.
• Proficiency in Arabic.
