Senior Urban Planning Specialist

Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee urban planning strategies aligned with client goals and regulatory requirements
• Analyze urban development trends and prepare comprehensive planning documentation
• Coordinate with engineers, architects, government officials, and community stakeholders to deliver integrated urban solutions
• Conduct environmental and social impact assessments to support sustainable urban growth
• Manage planning schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure timely delivery of projects
• Provide mentorship and technical support to junior planners and project staff

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Urban Planning, Geography, Architecture, or a related discipline
• 15+ years of significant experience in urban planning
• Expertise in local planning regulations, zoning, land development laws, and sustainable urban design principles
• Proficiency with GIS, CAD, and other urban planning software tools
• Experience working with PMC/PMO or consultant companies is highly preferred
• Middle East construction and infrastructure experience is a plus
