Senior Underwriter, Property

Responsibilities

• Manage a property renewal book and drive new business production through mono-line property opportunities.
• Identify and execute cross-selling opportunities for other commercial insurance lines.
• Develop and implement business plans to grow the property book via prospect identification and pipeline development.
• Maintain superior relationships with brokers and insureds through regular visits and effective account management.
• Implement profitable pricing rate strategies and ensure underwriting aligns with company guidelines.
• Take accountability for the financial performance of the assigned property book of business.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• 3 to 5 years of commercial property underwriting experience.
• Proven success in sales, marketing, and new business development.
• Strong risk analysis proficiency and understanding of underwriting technical issues.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills for negotiating with internal and external partners.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other business-related software.

Preferred Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to manage a complex desk and work effectively with Underwriting Associates.
• Strong business acumen and a results-oriented mindset.
• Experience in agency planning and goal setting.
