Senior Underwriter, Professional Liability

Responsibilities

• Assess the suitability of risks for renewals and new business, including pricing exposures in accordance with approved models and guidelines
• Evaluate additional risk assessment information such as actuarial, financial, and underwriting representative reports
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders in claims, actuarial, and operations departments
• Maintain ongoing liaison with producers to obtain information, evaluate risks, and present terms
• Oversee the full policy life-cycle, including pre-renewal, renewal, and ongoing management
• Perform marketing activities and maintain key producer and client relationships through regular meetings
• Implement ceded reinsurance actions in accordance with business unit guidelines
• Support the Line of Business Head with business planning, data analysis, and Lloyd’s reporting
• Mentor and develop junior members of the underwriting team

Requirements

• Extensive experience in an underwriting position within the London or Lloyd’s Market
• Proven competence in managing broker and client relationships
• Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills
• University degree and professional certification preferred
• Deep knowledge of rating, coverage, and regulations specific to the Professional Indemnity class
