Senior Underwriter, Equipment Breakdown

Responsibilities

• Drive profit and revenue growth for Equipment Breakdown lines of business through new and renewal business management
• Establish and maintain relationships with key agents, brokers, customers, and local Commercial Insurance staff
• Manage and monitor production for Monoline and ATD Package business
• Handle branch referrals for ATD High Hazard Package business and serve as a resource for Low and Moderate Hazard business
• Provide training and education to assigned branches and underwriting centers to build product knowledge
• Coordinate with Risk Engineering to facilitate appropriate activities and services for new and renewal business
• Assist the Equipment Breakdown Manager in developing coverage forms, marketing, and training materials
• Travel to branches, underwriting centers, agents, and customers approximately 20-25% of the time

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of Equipment Breakdown or large Property underwriting experience
• Ability to read and interpret complex Risk Engineering reports to make underwriting decisions
• Basic understanding of Commercial Property and Monoline Equipment Breakdown coverage forms
• Strong interpersonal, analytical, and strategic abilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Willingness to travel 20-25%
• Bachelor's degree preferred
