Senior Underwriter, Energy

Responsibilities

• Manage a $7-10 million book of business within the Energy Practice, focusing on growing a Property and Casualty portfolio.
• Develop book growth and implement effective, profitable pricing strategies.
• Identify opportunities for growth within new and existing production sources and identify cross-sell opportunities.
• Conduct agency planning, goal setting, and regular broker and insured visits.
• Maintain superior internal and external relationships through strong negotiation and marketing.
• Oversee the professional development, retention, and performance assessment of team members.

Requirements

• 3+ years of underwriting experience within the Energy industry or relevant Commercial experience.
• Experience with multi-line insurance (Package, Automobile, Pollution, Workers’ Compensation, Umbrella, and International).
• Bachelor's degree.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
• Strong negotiation, marketing, and leadership skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
