Senior Underwriter, Construction

Responsibilities

• Perform multiline underwriting including Package, Auto, Workers’ Compensation, Umbrella, Contractor’s Equipment, Builder’s Risk, and ancillary lines
• Cross-sell additional lines of business such as P&C, Multinational, Financial Lines, Cyber, and Accident & Health
• Collaborate with local Business Development Managers to identify growth opportunities within assigned agencies
• Establish and maintain strong working relationships with assigned agents to drive profitable growth
• Manage desk activities including production planning and forecasting for the assigned book of business

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• Minimum 5+ years of commercial lines underwriting experience
• Underwriting experience in Commercial Lines Property & Casualty specifically for the Construction industry
• Expertise in Construction underwriting including Builder’s Risk, Contractor’s Block, General Liability, and/or Contractor’s Equipment policies
• Experience with Package underwriting
• Proven ability to use technical analysis to profitably grow new business revenue
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills
