Senior Underwriter, Commercial Insurance Specialty

Responsibilities

• Manage a renewal book and generate new business for the Middle Market Commercial Insurance team
• Drive profitable growth through various specialty products including Package, Property, General Liability, Auto, Worker’s Compensation, and Umbrella/Excess
• Develop and negotiate price, coverage, terms, and conditions for new business and renewals
• Implement and manage effective pricing and rate strategies to ensure profitability and book growth
• Build and maintain strong relationships with assigned agents and brokers
• Collaborate with underwriters, operations, claims, marketing, and home office management
• Identify account rounding opportunities and growth potential within existing production sources

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in commercial insurance underwriting
• Proven experience in both Property & Casualty lines of business
• Strong risk analysis proficiency and underwriting acumen
• Demonstrated marketing and negotiation skills
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and time management skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• Familiarity with global insurance programs
