Senior UAS Training & Standardization Specialist

Responsibilities

• Maintain proficiency with emerging UAS technologies, regulatory changes, and operational best practices
• Adhere to FAA regulations including Part 107, DOE Orders, and restricted airspace protocols
• Support demonstrations, field missions, customer operations, and equipment testing
• Assist with flight planning, risk assessments, and maintaining maintenance/flight logs
• Perform routine maintenance, diagnostics, and software updates on UAS platforms
• Serve as a senior pilot authority for operational standards and safety compliance
• Conduct periodic audits of flight areas to ensure regulatory adherence
• Develop and standardize operational documentation and mission procedures
• Act as a pilot subject matter expert for engineering and flight test coordination
• Travel up to 70%

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of directly related experience
• Deep understanding and proficiency in Defense related UAS products
• Experience in field operations, curriculum development, and equipment testing
• Knowledge of UAS technology and airspace regulations
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and instructional skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Military Experience
• FAA Part 107 SUAS Remote Pilot
• FAA Part 61 Pilot
• 5+ years of directly related experience
• Secret Clearance (or eligible)
