Senior Transport and Distribution Specialist

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee distribution and transportation operations to ensure efficient execution and continuous optimization.
• Drive performance in Distribution Centers and optimize the local distribution network.
• Improve transportation efficiency through process optimization, cost control, and service enhancements.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery, cost per shipment, and lead times.
• Manage and optimize all inbound and outbound transportation flows.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with external partners and 3PL providers.
• Conduct regular performance reviews with vendors to ensure adherence to service levels and drive continuous improvement.
• Develop and manage the distribution and transportation budget in alignment with local financial goals.
• Ensure compliance with international regulations, Customs, trade, and QHSE standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable qualification with a logistics focus.
• 3-5 years of experience in distribution logistics.
• 1-2 years of experience in transportation coordination and optimization.
• Proficiency as an SAP Key User, specifically within the QM and MM modules.
• Experience in automotive manufacturing or knowledge of M+H product and manufacturing processes.
• Proven experience in driving results and process improvements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with E-commerce implementation (process lead experience is an advantage).
• Experience managing multiple projects, including 3PL and 4PL changes.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
