About the role
Responsibilities
- Accountable for assigned training courses, advocating for active, inclusive, and learner-centric content
- Ensure all training design processes are DSAT compliant and follow end-to-end design standards
- Develop high-quality training design, e-learning, and courseware materials using various media and technologies
- Contribute to overall instructional strategy by analyzing and implementing effective design methodologies
- Build strong relationships with subject matter experts to drive training transformation
- Act as a technical lead to ensure processes align with the latest defence policy and guidance
- Coach and support junior Training Designers to ensure their professional success
- Manage DSAT documentation development within TAFMIS
Requirements
- Proven experience in a Learning and Development role
- Expertise in instructional design and the development of training materials
- Experience developing DSAT documentation in TAFMIS
- Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of the ADDIE model and Defence Systems Approach to Training (DSAT)
- Practical experience with UK Ministry of Defence procedures and policies
- Proficiency with programme management tools and applications
- Experience contributing to creative solutions for technical problems within a team environment
