Senior Traffic Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver traffic and transport studies for major infrastructure and development projects
• Update and apply transport models and develop conceptual road designs
• Carry out demand forecasting and transport model analysis to support traffic impact studies
• Prepare detailed traffic study reports and impact analysis reports
• Perform microsimulation modelling analysis for road intersections, corridors, and bus facilities
• Provide technical guidance to CAD Designers, Drafters, and multidisciplinary design teams
• Ensure all engineering work complies with applicable standards, guidelines, and client requirements

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Traffic/Transportation Engineering
• 10 years of experience in traffic operations, traffic analysis, and transport planning
• Proficiency in traffic engineering and modelling software including SYNCHRO, VISUM, VISSIM, and HCS
• Valid MME registration in Qatar
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
• Strong understanding of transport modelling, demand forecasting, and multimodal methodologies

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience working in Qatar
• Knowledge of Qatar local standards and guidelines, including QHDM, QTCM, and MOT-LTPD procedures
• Experience in parking management, demand/supply analysis, and internal traffic circulation design
