Senior Traffic Dispatcher

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day depot operations through vehicle allocation and basic routing
• Manage route efficiency and optimize disposal outlet usage
• Oversee driver availability and coverage in compliance with legislation
• Perform administrative duties including payroll, bonus, and disposal information input
• Manage vehicle availability, fleet liaison, and monitor gross weights
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and O licence standards
• Conduct mandatory training, inductions, and toolbox talks in conjunction with the Depot Manager
• Monitor and analyze depot reports to control costs and improve efficiency

Requirements

• Experience in first-line operational management
• Experience in a similar role within the services or logistics industry
• Experience managing in a labour-intensive, multi-shift environment
• Strong knowledge of transport and logistics
• Local geographical knowledge
• Understanding of health, safety, and environmental legislation
