Senior Trading System Support Engineer

Responsibilities

• Join the trading systems engineering team to build and maintain core trading platforms.
• Improve system reliability, scalability, and security through automation and cross-functional collaboration.
• Provide operational support to internal teams and manage the prioritization of production incidents.
• Monitor system health and performance to identify and resolve issues before they impact trading activity.
• Implement rigorous security best practices to minimize attack surfaces and ensure data integrity.
• Participate in an on-call rotation and conduct blameless postmortems for incident response.
• Build tools for rapid operational triage using logs, performance telemetry, and observability metrics.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience as a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) or DevOps Engineer.
• 5+ years of experience in Front Office Trading Floor support or related application support.
• Strong knowledge of Linux system internals (kernels, memory management, network I/O optimization).
• Proficiency in at least one programming language: C, C++, Java, Python, or Go.
• Experience deploying and managing cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD tooling (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Ansible).
• Strong understanding of network fundamentals (TCP/IP, UDP) and the FIX protocol.
• Ability to work the US Night Shift.

Preferred Qualifications

• Extensive experience in low-latency electronic trading environments.
• Expertise in developing advanced observability capabilities (USE-RED signals, tracing).
• Experience with hardware acceleration technologies such as FPGAs or GPUs.
• Familiarity with algorithmic trading strategies and quantitative analysis concepts.
