About the role
Responsibilities
- Monitor import/export regulatory and procedural changes impacting the NAM region and communicate guidelines to stakeholders.
- Conduct country due diligence to inform stakeholders of specific regional requirements.
- Manage daily import/export compliance guidance, including research, status reporting, and vendor coordination.
- Assist with trade classification for technology, hardware, and software, including HTS, Schedule B, and ECCN.
- Support tariff mitigation plans and develop system requirements.
- Develop, document, and maintain operational processes, procedures, and training plans.
- Identify and drive process improvement initiatives and contribute to performance metrics.
Requirements
- 8+ years of data analysis experience using tools such as Excel, SQL, or Tableau.
- 8+ years of Trade Compliance experience related to U.S. and Canada trade regulations.
- 6+ years of related industry experience in an import/export compliance environment.
- Experience in procurement practices working with engineering, supply chain, and Tier 1 OEM partners.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in global supply chain management or managing cross-functional teams in consumer electronics.
- Hands-on experience performing trade classifications (HTS codes, ECCNs, and Country of Origin).
- Experience with Tariff Management, Mitigation processes, or Duty Drawback programs.
- Experience implementing or scaling a Global Trade Management (GTM) system.
- Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or Computer Science.
