About the Company

Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of the Trade Compliance Plan and drive implementation across the business
  • Stand up core compliance infrastructure including screening registers, export logging, and training programs
  • Embed compliant processes into day-to-day workflows across ops, HR, procurement, and engineering
  • Hold the Technology Control Manager (TCM) role with legal accountability for export compliance (DSGL, ITAR, EAR, and AUKUS)
  • Manage Export Authorisations end-to-end, including applications, renewals, and correspondence
  • Run Denied Party Screening and personnel screening for hires, visitors, and suppliers
  • Oversee receipt and transfer of controlled technology and international shipment compliance
  • Manage incident reporting, Voluntary Disclosure processes, and internal audits
  • Monitor regulatory changes across Australia, the US, and the UK

Requirements

  • Australian citizenship (required)
  • 7+ years of hands-on export controls experience in aerospace, defence, or space
  • Demonstrated experience with DTCA, DSGL, and the MADE Portal
  • Proven ability to build and run a compliance program from scratch
  • Strong communication skills to translate complex regulatory requirements
  • Awareness of the AUKUS framework
  • Relevant degree in Law, International Relations, Business, or Engineering

Preferred Qualifications

  • ITAR experience including licensing (DSP-5, TAA, MLA) and USML classification
  • Background in space, satellite, or defence technology
  • Experience serving as a Designated Compliance Officer or Lead
