About the role
Responsibilities
- Serve as the Subject Matter Expert and Lead for the US value reconciliation program, focusing on complex import compliance and digital transformation.
- Ensure all import transactions and reconciliation filings are executed in compliance with international trade regulations and submitted according to plan.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to standardize processes and establish robust operating systems for ACE administration and customs correspondence.
- Manage recordkeeping, import procedures, and the effective management of customs brokers.
- Support the deployment of SAP, GTS, and other digital systems.
- Conduct audits, provide guidance to Logistics and Finance functions, and deliver compliance training to various audiences.
Requirements
- 3 years of experience in trade compliance, preferably within a multinational company.
- Strong knowledge of import regulations and customs laws.
- Proven experience managing trade compliance programs, including classification and compliance audits.
- Must be a U.S. person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or protected status under asylum/refugee status) due to export control laws.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; Advanced degree in business, finance, or IT.
- Licensed Customs Broker (LCB) designation.
- Direct experience in filing value reconciliation for US importers.
- Proficiency with SAP, GTS, and Microsoft digital solutions (Power BI, PowerApps, Flow).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
